Stoke-on-Trent City Council are looking for a contractor to undertake the demolition of a disused building previously used as a train station for a small railway at Bucknall Park, Stoke-on-Trent. The building is approximately 15m x 7m constructed with a steel frame filled with brickwork on two sides to a height of approximately 1.2m. Above the brick the frame is clad with sheet metal. Large roller shutters are at each end of the building. The base comprises of slabs and loose stone. An asbestos survey has confirmed that no asbestos containing materials are present in the building. All services to the building have been disconnected (disconnection certificate can be provided).
As part of the demolition work we require:
• Removal of the brick and metal structure, floor and footings to a depth of 1m below ground level
• The removal of all resulting demolition waste from the site
• The cleared site to be left in a safe and level condition Tenderers must have at least £5 million in insurance cover
