Title Refurbishment works to the Grade II Listed Kingsway Cenotaph

Information Stoke-on-Trent City Council wish to appoint a contractor to clean the brickwork of the monument (including the surrounding walls) using an appropriate methodology, rake out and repoint any areas of mortar that are loose or missing (mortar mixes must match exiting and be applied in the same manner as the extant jointing), and clean and re-wax bronzes where necessary. The tender will be evaluated on - a contractors ability to demonstrate previous relevant experience of working with similar designated heritage assets (25%), - the provision of an appropriate proposed methodology (25%) -price (40%) - availability (10%) The contractor will need to hold suitable public and employers liability insurance to the usual £5m level. Please ensure that evidence of all of these elements are included in your submission'.
