West Midlands based entrepreneurs have been given a fantastic opportunity to benefit from free advice and mentoring from the very top of the business world through a new partnership between Startup Direct and Barclays.
A group of five entrepreneurs were carefully selected to attend an advisory session at the ‘Barclays Brain Trust’ event at the bank’s Snowhill headquarters, on Thursday 7th May 2015. During the event, each of the entrepreneurs benefited from their own personal mentoring session with 22 leading Barclays executives, who offered advice on areas such as strategy, finance and marketing.
The five local start ups taking part were childrenswear company, Star51; construction website, YouKwoteMe; Solesee, which has developed a foot health checker used in the detection of diabetes; hair extension company The Good Hair Show and Frinter, a free printing service for students.
“The entrepreneurs were overwhelmed by the attention to detail paid to their business by the Barclays executives, who focused on particular challenges they faced and how they could be overcome”, said James Pattison from Startup Direct.
